                                                      WHAT WE DO:

The Group provides mobility equipment which is free of charge to all age groups who are patients of and live within the area covered by The Deepings Practice and The Glinton Surgery.

We supply wheelchairs and other items of mobility equipment for example, electric riser/recliner chairs, bath lifts, showering aids, walking frames and commodes.

We have a large fleet of our electric scooters in use locally. Most have been purchased direct, many have been donated and some have been purchased by Deeping St James United Charities whose help with storage is also much appreciated. We encourage scooter users for their own safety and that of other road/footpath users to receive instruction from our charity organisers who have attended a Safe Scoot training day.

The Group raises funds for the maintenance, repair and replacement of the equipment by specific fund-raising events but mainly relies on the generous donations of the local community. The aim of our fundraising is to maintain the sustainability of the charity in order that we may continue our work into the future. All Directors, and helpers are volunteers so all donations go direct to running the charity.

We have collection and information days at Tesco and our collection boxes can be found in most pubs and other establishments in the area. We are represented at the opening and closing Remembrance Ceremonies in November and also provide stewards for the Mayor's Christmas Market
